My Lady's Garter

Text to front panel in dark brown with gold high-lights and the author's name in brown. All text on spine in gilt. This novel published posthumously by the author's wife. Mr. Futrelle died when the RMS Titanic sank on April 15, 1912. He insisted his wife board a life boat thus saving her life. This is an exceptionally lovely copy of this book in a remarkable example of the dust jacket. Previous owner name, address and date (1914) to the front free endpaper. The name provided is Jewell Potter, Niagara Falls, NY. Jewell Potter was, among other professions, a silver engraver working first in Oneida, New York and later in 1911 in Niagara Falls.
