This copy contains the Siegfried Sassoon poem on pages 341,342,and 343, as well as the original text on page 290 without any asterisks. The book is very solid and tight. Frontispiece photograph of author plus seven pages of illustrations and maps all present. The dust jacket, designed by Len Lye, is very nice with a few minor chips at the corners and the foot of the spine. The jacket is price-clipped. One of the most necessary texts to emerge from the slaughter that was World War I. Still controversial, Graves book captures both the violence and banality of siege warfare. A very nice copy of a very important work.
