The original $2.00 price is present on the flap. Original dust jacket art work by N. C. Wyeth, which is repeated on the frontispiece. "Captain Blood" is the first title listed on the rear panel of the jacket and "The Snare" is the last, making it the true first issue jacket. Previous owner dated gift inscription (1923) to the front free endpaper. The publication date for this book is listed as August, 1922 but it was actually printed in May of 1922.
