New York: Dodd, Mead And Company, 1927. First American edition. Hardcover. Near Fine / Near Fine. Original blue cloth with lettering in orange to the front panel and decoration that mirrors that of the jacket. Previous owner name to the front paste-down completely hidden by the jacket's flap. A very clean, bright and solid copy of the book. This copy has a brilliant original example of the scarce dust jacket with the only flaw being a vertical line that looks like a separation repair but is not really visible from the verso. In any case, the jacket remains very bright and very nice indeed. A very good Dr. Thorndyke novel.
