Illustrated endpapers and with several other black and white illustrated plates. A promotional volume published to sell the new 1936 film by the same title. The film starred Ronald Colman, Claudette Colbert, Rosalind Russell and Victor McLaglen. The bright and very pleasing dust jacket has a full color image of Ronald Colman looking quite butch, if not confused, as he is backed by a French Flag and a Union Jack. Some minor edge-wear to the spine ends. A previous owner signature to the front free endpaper, also provides the date of 1936. A very attractive copy.
