London: Methuen & Co., (1915). First edition. Hardcover. Near Fine / Very Good. Original red cloth, blind-stamped on the front board and lettered in gilt to the spine. In a complete original dust jacket, a rare survivor of an early example. Some minor foxing to the preliminaries and title page. With 35 pp of ads at the rear. A comic novel featuring Bealby, a serving boy to a great house. The jacket has some interior tape repair, not to hold anything together but rather to strengthen edges. An un-neccessary action. The ads are dated on the first page as "Spring, 1915" and on the final page of ads is stated "25/11/14." This agrees with Currey's points as the first issue with the exception that he states the boards are blue.
