The jacket has very minor edge-wear to the spine ends and the right bottom corner on the front panel. A small town, ex-football star now an up and coming attorney, a host of nasty clients - one of them very wealthy and vile, and a large mansion with a host of characters coming and going. We tend to think of the "noir" genre in an urban environment but this sure seemed noirish to me. A lovely example of a solid vintage crime novel.
