Maury Maverick, Mayor of San Antonio. An American Guide Series publication. Illustrated throughout with drawings, photos and one large map. This copy has one curious fact. On the title page there is a stamp mark stating "Compliments of" then a line, and beneath that "Gus B Mauermann, Mayor" So, we seem to have two Mayors. I should say that Mayor Mauermann has signed his name on that line. Gus Mauermann was Mayor of San Antonio from 1943 to 1947. So, this would appear to be some kind of gift presentation from copies left over from the initital publication. There are no dates to contra-indicate this. No mention of a second edition nor anything about a price. Most peculiar. So, this is your opportunity to get the autograph of "Hizzoner" Mayor Mauermann. This is a lovely copy in all respects.
