Connecticut A Guide To Its Roads, Lore, and People
Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1938. First edition. Hardcover. Near Fine / Near Fine. Bound in original dark red fabrikoid. A side note - both Dykes and Scharf & Shoyer refer to the cover as "fabricoid." I use fabrikoid because my copy of Avis, The Concise Bookman's Dictionary spells it with a "k" but DuPont, which manufactured the product uses the "k" as well. Octavo, xxxiii, 593pp. The jacket is extremely nice though it is price-clipped. Written by the Workers of the Federal Writers' Project of the Work Projects Administration for the State of Connecticut. An American Guide Series volume. Front endpapers with the Key Tours map. Large fold-out map present in pocket attached to interior rear board. A lovely copy in all respects. Dykes, #36; Scharf & Schoyer, #108.
