The books are in excellent condition. The jackets show considerable wear to the spines. The front panels of both are quite nice but the spines show wear and loss. "With painstaking economy Mr. Hanfmann surveys the archaic and classical Greek, the Hellenistic, and the Roman imperial and late Roman representations of the seasons, relating each to the particular literary and historical environment of its era." Volume I - 280 pages of text, while volume II has 238 pages of text and 150 photographic images. A very nice set in spite of the jacket wear.
