Salute To The Brave

London: Hutchinson, (1940). First edition. Hardcover. Very Good / Very Good. Bound in original russet cloth, lettered in black. In a complete and very scarce dust jacket. Cover art by A. W. Simpson. A thriller set in England at the early days of World War II. The Gestapo is in England, up to their necks in evil intent. They did not plan on encountering a middle-aged spinster, Miss Lettice Armine. The spine of the jacket has a label affixed just below the author's name which reads: First Novel/Library No. 99. This label does not cover any text. The jacket flap is price-clipped. The jacket does show wear along the edges and shows some soiling to the spine but this is a very rare book even without a jacket. Clementine Hunter is the pseudonym of Helen Mary Keynes. Author is listed in Hubin but not this title.

Price: $450.00
