Original russet colored cloth on boards, lettered in gilt on the spine. In the complete dust jacket with the admonition on the interior front flap - "Do not start reading it late at night." Very nice period art work by A. D. Rahn. With the signed book-plate of Philip Greely Brown to the front paste-down. Brown was a famous and respected book collector from Maine. He died in 1934 and his library went up for public auction in 1935. "Bibliophemera" has a blog post regarding the man and the collection. Copies of the auction catalog are available on-line as well.
