New York: Doubleday, Doran and Company, 1928. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good / good. Original paper on boards with blue cloth spine lettered in gilt. The gilt is somewhat faded. The book remains very solid and tight. Signed and dated by the author on a front fly-leaf. The name is still legible but has faded somewhat. The complete jacket is definitely married to the book as it has a Grosset & Dunlap imprint. The cover art is the same as the Doubleday/Doran jacket. This jacket fits the book very well indeed. The jacket has some wear at the spine ends and is substantially backed with archival paper tape. Still, a very attractive copy of a scarce title to find signed. World War I aviation combat.
