Philadelphia: Dorrance and Company, (1928). First edition. Hardcover. Fine / Near Fine. A very clean, bright and solid copy in all respects. Original bright red cloth, lettered in gilt on the front panel and the spine. 384pp. The jacket is price clipped and has some very minor restoration to the spine. Re-inforced with paper tape on the folds of the verso. Very nice jacket art by W. D. This volume comes with a typed letter signed on Chamberlin Aircraft Engineering Co. letterhead, dated Aug. 25, 1955. This letter discusses the fates of famous Bellanca planes and of the "Columbia." He does reference his trans-atlantic flight. A remarkable letter to accompany this fine volume.
