Rome and Paris: Societe De Saint Jean L'Evangeliste, circa 1980. Soft Cover. Near Fine. Two quarto soft bound volumes. There are many dates listed but most of them cannot apply to these volumes. The covers state 1927 and there is a copyright date of 1908. There is a date to the rear of volume one stating "Paris, 1950." However, there are several pamphlets laid in offering musical samples on cassette and there is a "Mai 1980" date on one of those. The paper on these inserts is very different than the pages in the volumes. So, my guess is that the books are earlier than 1980 but no older than 1950. These two volumes are in excellent condtion with hundreds of musical examples. Volume II with several fold-out charts. Both bindings and contents in excellent condition.
