Previous owner stamp on the front paste-down, hidden by the jacket flap, and again, along the top edge. The text block is very clean with no markings of any kind. The jackets are complete with the original prices intact. The Volume II jacket has small closed tears on the rear panel near the spine hinge, else fine. Volume I covers the years 1660-1783 and Volume II covers 1784-1914.
