Oxford

London: A & C Black, 1903. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good. From an edition of 3200 copies. 60 full page illustrations in color by John Fulleylove. Blue cloth with a design and gilt on the front board and spine. t.e.g. Apparently re-bound from the original sheets. There is a gilt Roman Numeral date at the foot of the front board stating 1903. However, there is an ad for "Cambridge" at the rear of the book, offered as a "companion volume." Cambridge, by M. A. R. Tuker, was first published in 1907. Inman [Inman - 63] makes no note of this variant binding. Included in this volume is a bookmark from the Scottish Widows fund - see Inman page 94. Altogether a very clean, bright and attractive copy.
