London: The Naval Records Society, 1901. FIRST. NF. Two volumes. Navy blue and cream cloth, stamped in gilt. Edited by Laughton. Volume II published in 1910. Some light foxing throughout. Volume one contains three fold-out maps; One of the approaches to New York, one of the Northern Chesapeake Bay region, and the third, a much more detailed map depicting the attack on Cadiz in 1596. There are also four color plates showing the types of vessels involved in the Cadiz attack. Altogether a very fine set, and remarkably scarce.
