Original spine label present but rubbed and only partially legible. Previous owner signature on front paste-down - this being quite old and possibly from the date of publication. Illustrated frontis of Col. Crockett is present. Some foxing and offsetting to the title page. Scattered light foxing throughout but largely clean and very solid. The hinges are quite strong and original. Perhaps ghost written by Augustine S. Clayton.
